US has announced its intention to impose customs duties on $3.1 billion in imports from Spain, Germany, France, and the UK, paving the way for a new trade tensions with Europe as fears are simultaneously mounting over the viability of the US trade deal with China. These products include airplanes, milk, meat and other food commodities
Trade tensions between US and Europe escalated in past, when in 2010 and 2011 the after the WTO ruled that Airbus and Boeing, the world's two largest aircraft manufacturers, had benefited from billions of dollars in unfair subsidies in various cases dating back to 2004.
