Statistics showed that Japanese yen long positions increased sharply during last week's trading, with the operations of the major currencies as follows:
Euro longs increased by 1000 from 117k to 118k.
Sterling shorts increased by 3000 from 16k to 19k.
Japanese yen longs increased by 5000 from 22k to 27k.
Swiss francs longs fell by 1000 from 21k to 20k.
Australian dollar shorts fell by 2000 from 7k to 5k.
Canadian dollars shorts fell by 4000 from 25k to 21k.
