A CNBC poll has revealed that fewer US voters, especially among Democrat supporters, believe they would choose to vote by mail compared to a poll taken two weeks ago.
The poll showed that the percentage of voters intending to vote by mail has fallen by two points to 36% among Democratic voters, generally more likely to vote by mail than Republicans, and the overall natinoal rate decreased by 11 points to 51%.
However, the fall was greater in six major swing states: Arizona, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. A separate poll focusing only on swing states found only 33% of people planning to vote said they would do so by mail.
These polls come amid concerns about the US Postal Service's ability to handle mail ballots.
